Creative Zen Microphoto Frozen 8GB

My Zen has froze.. i need to reformat.. can someone give me basic step by step instructions of how to do this... thank you very much

    My zen froze on a song a few days ago... everytime i turn it on it's still frozen on the same song..the touch pad wont work..ive tried taking out the battery, formating it and rebooting it...when i reformated it , it still came up to a screen and froze..now i lost all my songs and its still not fixed..and suggestions?

    my 8gb zen microphoto just froze the other day, now it only starts up as far as the creative logo then just goes black again.

    Same problem - Creative screen just stays on - and I can get to the reformat screen by holding the start button and removing the battery pack - but then it just sits there and says reformatting forever. Any other suggestions?

    Mp3 Microphoto turns on and only the creative logo appears, nothing else. The sound that gives out is like playing a rubberband and that is all the sound you here.

    Please advise if can.

    My microphoto onyl works when i plug it in to the computer using my usb cord but even then it barely works staying at a blank screen while the blue light fades in and out (which usuaully does this when charging). Then wherethe battery icon is on the top right has a lightning bolt through it but the mp3 battery does not charge what so ever please help.....also i got a new battery to see if that was the problem but thats not the case. with the new battery it still freezes but instead of a blank screen its the creative logo screen where it then makes a noise sounding somewhat like a strum of a rubberband and its the not the first time its mad that noise it constantly did it with my old battery when the problem first started...so anyone if its possible please help

Slide the back off, take out the battery, put it back in while holding the power switch on. THis brings up the Recovery Menu, from where you have various options, formatting being but one.

I dropped my zn and now it is frozen on my pictures whast should i do? i just got it for my birthday i dropped it 2 weeks after my birthday and i havnt got to listen to it for like a month and want to listen to it really bad i dont know how to slide the back off or nothing i tried everything the pad is lock what should i do

Is the device found by your computer? if so open your 'my computer' folder (usually an icon on your desktop screen). if the device shows, right click on it. click format, quick format, start. then disconnect and power on your player. it should reboot itself. if it doesn't you may have other issues. check the creative website for product support. most players have a 'reset' function that sometimes works to unlock them. I'm not real familiar with this player and am unable to tell you how to do a reset on it. a simple test before reformatting would be to remove the battery from the player and then re-install it. sometimes this will also cause the player to reboot itself and solve the problem.

Show a step by step procedure to how to reformat a hard disc


- if the hard disk is inside the system use your operating system disk
- boot to the disk by pressing F12
- if you see "press any key to boot to disk" hit the spacebar right away
- if your usinf windows XP delete or partion by highlighting the partition and hit "d" to delete

My creative zen stone plus cant switch on,except use a usb cable to connect it... and the word on the screen not clear anymore....why its happen??and how to solve it??


Hi, from the way you said your problem, might not be easy for me to just give you a direct answer to the problem. Because i don't know what happened to it before it started acting the way it those.

So what you can do for me is to write out another comment and really describe exactly what happened to it that made it the way it is now.

But before you do that let me give you some Tips to troubleshoot it first and see if it will solve the problem.

How to Troubleshoot With a Zen Stone MP3 Player

Creative Zen Stone MP3 players work without problems under most conditions, but may occasionally malfunction during normal operation. Malfunctions are often caused by errors in the player software but are occasionally caused by other issues. If your Creative Zen Stone MP3 player is not playing back music or responding to button presses, troubleshoot your device. Most problems are common and do not require service.

Instructions


Plug the small end of the USB cable into the USB jack on the Zen Stone MP3 player. If the rechargeable battery is drained, the MP3 player will not work. Wait until the indicator light stops blinking before removing it from your computer.


Connect the MP3 player to your computer and open the Creative Media Lite software on your computer. Check for updates to the player's firmware by pressing the "Check for Updates" button in the software. Follow the onscreen instructions to update the firmware if one is available. Firmware updates correct problems with the software and may resolve the problem with your device.

Reset the Zen Stone MP3 player to clear any errors that may have developed in the device's software. To reset the device, stick the end of a straightened paper clip into the hole marked "Reset." The device will restart.


Reformat the player as a last resort for fixing your Zen Stone MP3 player. To reformat the player, connect it to your computer and open "My Computer." Your player is located in the "Devices with Removable Storage" section. Right click on your MP3 player, select "Format," and confirm the selection.

Good day i really hope you can help me out, cause I'm really feeling blue about my ZEN, cause i love it so much. I was transferring some files to my creative Zen 32GB when, it looked like the transfer was...


This can be fixed,

Most caes what we got here is a bad battery, now most people will call me nuts but once they changed there battery they found there device now fuctional. The battery is inside and I would recommend highly you send it in to have it changed out verses doing it yourself.

The unit will be reformatted and returned to your in working order the people who do this is www.pdarepair.com yes you do need to send it in unless you can find someone local.

there is no magic tricks, RESETS or anything you would might have though before comming ot fixya.com so please be advised the only fix here is changing out the battery thus the unit will loose all data.

Creative Zen Firmware Problem


about this issue of creative zen wherein the device is not booting up to the normal os. and is not being detected by your computer, and giving you options to clean, reset, and format. my brother and i own creative zen, my brother own zen 4GB and i own 16gb. i don't have any problems at all. but my brother does. what i did is i just download the firmware version of my brother's zen that is missing which is version 1.03.04_0.6.1. unfortunately you will not find this firmware version at creative website. i checked a website and i found this. it's at http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/Other-DRIVERS-TOOLS/Others/Creative-ZEN-4-8-16-GB-Firmware-10304.shtml
just perform this steps and you're good to go.
1. download the firmware for your zen. 2. connect your zen to your pc. 3. run the executable file (firmware). 4. just follow the on-screen instructions on your computer and you're good to go.

Error Message on Zen Creative VPlus Player...


keeps on saying it has no licenseto play. sync True True (``````````` (``````````` 0 95250 95250 license from pc

Go into your Control Panel and Add and Remove Programs. Make sure Show Updates is checked on top of the Window. Scroll down to the bottom and remove Hotfix for Windows Media Format 11 SDK (KB929399). Restart then resync your music to your player. Unfortunately, Windows continues to reinstall this "fix."
if that doesn't work try this
I reformatted the player, deleted and then re-downloaded the subscription tracks.

ZEN NOT DOCKING TO COMPUTER


if you are using a fromt usb port- switch to the back usb. The front ports don't always give the zen enough power. Also- look in Device Manager and see if there is a zen listed there- and if it is does it have a yellow exclamation mark? It may not be the zen that is having problems but your computer.

Solution ID # 4794 from creative site ZEN Micro and ZEN MicroPhoto 1. Make sure that the battery is charged. 2. Detach the ZEN Micro or MicroPhoto from the PC, and ensure that it is turned off. 3. Remove the battery. 4. Move and hold the Power button to the Power On position and re-insert the battery to the ZEN Micro or MicroPhoto. Hold the Power button until the Recovery Mode appears. The following options will be displayed: -Clean Up : Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.Does not affect music files themselves. -Format (All):Caution! Erases all content!Save a copy of your player's content before formatting. -Reload OS/ Firmware : Caution! Erases your player's firmware. DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install. Reboot Reboots the device.

Zen not working


You might just have to completely reformat and reset the OS/Firmware your player. Note: THIS WILL REMOVE ALL SONGS/VIDEOS/PICTURES FROM THE DEVICE! To reformat: 1. Hold the power switch in the ON position 2. Insert a paper clip into the RESET hole. 3. Continue holding the power switch ON until the Creative logo appears. 4. Select Format All from the Recovery Mode menu. 5. Select Reboot To reset the OS/Firmware: 1. Go to http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ 2. Under Select Your Product select MP3 Players > ZEN > Zen Vision: M (either 30GB or 60GB model depending on what you have) 3. Select your operating system and Firmware from the File Type drop down box 4. Download the file from the next page to your Desktop 5. Agree to the stupid EULA and download the file 6. Connect the player to the computer 7. Once the player is recognized, run the .exe file 7. Follow the on-screen instructions If you are still having problems, or any of the above does not work as planned, let me know.

Zen sleek frozen after trying to delete songs


Why does technology make you work for what you already paid good money for? Have you tried going into Recovery Mode? You do this by holding down the Play/Pause button while triggering the Reset button. Once there, you have four options. Try selecting Disk Cleanup and then Reboot. You might need to re-Sync a few things but it's worth a shot. Good luck.

u shud try to reformat it. go to the creative site and go to knowledge base and check how to reformat it or sth like tht u take the battery out for like 5 seconds and do sum other stuff
