Camera seems to zoom in and out and connected to computer and it is taking pictures, but cannot view from the back. Anyway to reset the screen (reboot the camera through my computer? Jay

This a possibly a connector problem to the screen If it is still taking pictures OK then you have to decide whether to live with it or get the next camera. I suspect a repair will not be very economic. Contact Sony support for further advice.

I have a Sony DSC-W50 Cybershot camera that won't take pictures or videos anymore. It powers up fine and the screen works, but when I hold down the shutter button all the way, it focuses and nothing more.

Cybershot dsc-w50 records movies instead of pictures

I had the same problem with my camera.  I found that changing the mode from Multi Burst to Normal allows the camera to take normal pictures.  Go to Menu and scroll over to Mode, then select Normal.

Sony cybershot DSC-W50 lens problen

thats normal.
it just doesn't have enough power to bring the lense back in.
once you charge your battery and turn it on the lense will automatically come back in and then out for you to take a picture.
