I know what is wrong with my tv and I see someone just had the same problem yesterday with theirs. I do beleive the expert was texmen or something like that. Quite odd my tv is having the same problem as their on the same day, the converge chip needs to be replaced. I have contacted panasonic on this for my tv was made in august 2001 and I just talked to a tech today in which he was the one he gave me and he stated that the orginail chip in these only last 6 years. well my tv isn't even 6 years old yet. He also told me he has a life time chip! Why isn't Panasonic putting life time chips in these tv's to start with. The manager had nothing to say then. My tv isn't under warrantly being it is over a year old, but panasonic refuses to tell me the product name or number of how to get the chip to have it replaced myself. How do I find out the product name for the chip and the number of it so I can order it. It is the converge chip to make the colors line up.
This is very strange coincedence it seems the more I search this problem the more people I am finding with the same issue. This morning Aug 3 2007 I turned on our Panasonic PT-47WX42C to find this convergence problem! (distorted colours-off alignments) I, like yourself Hultsie would love to get the schematic diagram for our unit and change out the IC(s) myself. If we work together I believe we can accomplish this task! Please contact me at [email protected] if you would like to give this a go! I certainly will try to exhaust all avenues before I part with hundreds of dollars for something I know I can service myself.
Oh, the defective IC(s) will more than likely have the values you need written on top of the chip...once you know the ones that need changing your local tv repair or even panasonic (if there close by) will sell them to you.

This sounds like a time to contact Netflix. It is very likely that you entered some information wrong, and they think your information looks like someone else's. Something is wrong, and they probably think you have already had a free trial. I'm told that's the most common reason they won't give someone a free trial.
The experts on fixYa will help you as much as they can and with hopes if they do not know or have something that is useful to share they will step back from the problem. I think that some of the people that are looking for help might be looking to much into the site, You have to keep in mind that the help we as the expert community give you is based in the knowledge we have gained over the years of working on and with the products we give advise on.
We as the experts sadly can not tell whats wrong only what we feel is the problem, we CAN tell you things to check and how to check them but without you willing to work with us and understand that what we tell you to check may not always be what wrong, but how we the experts would start to find the problem.
Sometimes the experts may not give you something to check but the people and sources you will need to get the right answers. Don't over the look the help that this can be, this is how people learn more about the problems they are having, by talking to the people that deal with that everyday. Not everyone is always going to have the answers, everyone can learn something everyday.
You will be able to tell the differences between someone that is unsure of the answers they are giving you and someone that has taken the time to answer your questions and give you worth while advise. I would suggest that even if the answer a expert gives you is not what you need or helpful thank them for there time. We are here to help you as best as we can and it is always nice when someone sees the time invested into each problem.
M.Woodring
FixYa Expert
Hello Bob! Sometimes the best way to reconnect with an expert that you were chatting with is to just open up another chat request.
The good news is that you, as the paying customer, gets to decide if the expert provided a proper response to your question, or provided the solution to your problem.
By opening up another chat request, shortly after you got disconnected, you stand a pretty good chance of getting them again. If you get someone else, you can politely decline them and mark the session as "rejected" meaning you won't get charged for that particular chat. Further, since it is a paid chat session, the expert won't have their rating percentages adversely affected by your rejection of the session.
Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
PS: Just wondering if you know Bob_computer in Canada!
Your friend is right, you have damaged the ribbon to the top screen, you can buy them from the internet with the screen, and you can buy the tools also to unscrew the case, if you dont think you can do that, their are also places you can sent it to get it fixed, look on the internet.
Now I am not a expert in this field by any means and there may be someone else that can give you a better answer but I will provide some insight from experience. When this happens it is usually do to the television going into protection mode, this is to let you know something is wrong inside the T.V., it does this to prevent any further damage to the T.V.. I do not know but if it is still under warranty you should read your warranty paperwork and contact whoever it tells you to, if it;s not then you should contact your nearest T.V. repair shop.
hope this helps
