There are a number of wireless speakers available from moderately expensive to Ouch, painfull. Sonos is one brand that springs to mind.
Wireless headphones are also available.
As you don't hear very well, there are probably other things apart from the tv you would like to hear. If a hearing aid or personal amplifier is out of the question you might wish to consider an FM transmitter. I sometimes use one with my computer so I can listen to my audio files wherever I am at home or work simply by tuning in any FM radio.
There are rather bigger and more powerful FM transmitters available intended to accept input from almost any audio device and transmit over a slightly larger area, again to receive simply tune in an FM radio.
Did you connect the base/transmitter piece to the AUDIO OUT jacks on the back of the TV ? The radio you are listening to is the built-in FM radio/tuner. You need to connect the transmitter to an audio source (TV, PC, CD/DVD player, etc.) to receive sound from that source.
Sentry h0700 headphones can be used with a TV, PC, or notebook. I use the wireless, and when the batteries are off, I attach the cable and keep using them as regular headphones while my batteries are charging.
If you hear the radio just pres reset than pres scan again. That should do it. Works for me and the sound is just fine! I paid 10$ for them, I think they are pretty amazing considering the price. I would choose something smaller and better quality if I want to use it outside with a portable device.
You need to plug in the RCA plugs (red and white) to your cable receiver box and NOT the TV outlet.
If you have satelite box, it's the same thing. It has two sets of audio-out and one of them goes to your TV and the other set may be free.
If not, goto Radio Shack and get a SPLITTER so you can plug in the headphone set.
However, these headphones... I have one, may not be all that good quality and reliable.
In the Bluetooth Settings menu, go to "Stereo Headset" option, and see if you have any luck - make sure the headphones are connected to the Samsung, since the Samsung uses the headphones as antenna to get any kind of station reception.
