My camera goes on and lets me select PC but after that it just sits there and says "one moment" on the screen. Don't have a clue as to what the problem is or what to do. Haven't had a problem in the past.

I cant get the camera to be recognized with the cable either. I tried a exact same cable on 2 other computers, but same deal.

Just got an Olympus FE-340. When I attach the USB cable to camera and computer and click on "PC" on the LCD Screen, the LCD Screen says "ONE MOMENT" and stays that way. Also, my computer tells me "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it." (Please note that my USB Ports work fine with other devices.) Does anybody have any insight into this problem? Thank you. -- Jack

What if I don't have the USB cord for the camera??

If the cord fits, use it.
You didn't specify the make and model of your camera, but if it uses a memory card of some type you don't need a USB cord to transfer your pictures.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

No cord c183

You don't need one. The camera uses AA batteries but doesn't charge them through the USB connection. The only use for the cord is the slow, hard way to download pictures from the camera to the computer.
