Question about Jenn-Air JER8850 Electric Kitchen Range
I was cleaning my Jenn-Air JER8850 when at the end of the cycle the display flashed F1 and began to beep. Now the door is locked and will not release. Does anyone know how to get the door to release???
"F1" is an error code for any of the following possible problems: Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board. Wiring harness shorted. Defective touchpad on the control board. I speculate that the control board may have failed during the cleaning cycle, causing your problem. Unfortunately, this may be an expensive repair if it is a control board, and it could be maintenance intensive to get to the door latch to release it. You will need to lift the stove top to gain access to the linkage for the oven door relay. There should be a few screws under the top front to remove. Make sure you unplug the unit or turn off the circuit breaker before servicing. I hope this helps you.
