I have a SL-MC7 C.D. player. When ever I place a C.D. in the single slot, the C.D. player will plays the disc. When ever I place C.D. in slot one to one hundred and ten, the machine would not pull the C.D. into the transport or the piece that plays the C.D. The front display on the machine keep showing no disc. I can heare the machine tring to locate the disc. This process will last for 20 seconds and then the machine will show no disc on the front display. Can someone help me with this problem?

I also have an SL-MC7. I (stupidly, I know) moved the unit while CD's were still inside. It says 'checking disks' and then just sits there.

The door won't open up more than 1/2". I can see that lots of disks are out of place. I would like to 'override' and be able to open the door to gently put the CD's back in place, or open it up. Ideas? Thanks.

Have the same problem only mine does it on all slots. It appears the finger which removes the disk from the tray does not slide foward to "pick" the disk. Don't know why, tried to pull it and it will not move foward I was hoping this sight might have some sort of exploded view of the linkages but doesn't.

6 DISC CD Changer in trunk worked yesterday on 2002 mercedes clk430...says no cd changer

If your 6-disc CD changer in the trunk of your 2002 Mercedes CLK430 was working fine yesterday, but is now displaying a "No CD Changer" message, there may be a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the connections: Make sure the CD changer is properly connected to the car's audio system. Check the connections for any loose or disconnected cables. Also, check the fuse for the CD changer in the car's fuse box.
2. Check for jammed CDs: It is possible that one of the CDs in the changer is jammed, which can cause the error message to appear. Try pressing the eject button to see if any CDs are stuck in the changer. If so, try gently removing them.
3. Check the CD format: Make sure the CDs you are trying to play are in a format that is compatible with the CD changer. The CD changer may not be able to play CDs that are scratched or in a non-standard format.
4. Try resetting the audio system: Try resetting the audio system by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes. This may reset the CD changer and fix any software issues.
If none of these solutions work, there may be a hardware issue with the CD changer. It may need to be repaired or replaced. You can consult a mechanic or audio specialist for further assistance.

My RF 6 Disc Changer just stopped playing any CDs. Just reads E. What do I do??

is it jammed? remove the CDs, blow in some compresed air to knock out dust and try it again. if the CDs are stuck then its a whole other issue.

I have a 2001 chrysler town and country. cds got stuck in the 4 cd changer. I took the player out, removed the cds but now cds wont go in all the way and the display reads err. radio works fine, tape...

Sounds like the ejector has become jammed, probably from repeatd failed attempts to eject the stuck cd's.
There isn't much you can do about it, repair on that unit will probably cost more than a better aftermarket replacement

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

2004 GTO will not eject CDs, says CD mech error.

I just had this happen the other day. It completely jammed up. I ended up having to remove the radio and disassemble the upper changer section to get the disks out. The problem with mine was that one of the disk trays broke and jammed the mechanism. I ended up gutting the changer and and reassembling the radio and installing it in the car to use the AM/FM function. I'm currently in the search for a new radio to swipe the CD changer off of since even radios that you do not have the security code for will work as the coding is in the radio section and not the CD changer. The changer attaches to the top of the radio with 2 T8 and 4 T10 screws and connects with a ribbon cable between the two modules. You'll see the ribbon cable when the top CD changer mechanism. Be careful removing CDs this way as if the player's rotating assembly is not retracted, it is very easy to scratch the disk. Unfortunately I lost a Velvet Revolver disk this way. Good luck! If you are on one of the the big boards I go by TR GTO on both if you need to contact me and I'll walk you through it.

It doesnt open and cant read the cds inside.

Remove the cover lid and look inside for anything jamming disk tray, problem may be very simple once you look at this. change out some of the cds.

Jammed cds in a 6 cd changer ford ranger 2002

sounds like the tray inside was misaligned when the cd went in. and it probally sent the disc into a occupied slot. you will have to remove radio and disassemble to repair. also try just unpluging radio and plug back in. sometimes it resets the radio and will start ejecting the cds

Jammed cd player - 2002 Honda Accord

I have a 2002 honda accord with the 6 disc cd changer. I beleve the cd changer has jamed and have lost power to the CD player. When I press the CD button it wont recognise the player. Any suggestions

CD Changer not reading CDs

2000 bmw 528i,my cd changer also reads no cds, this seem to be a common problem with all bmw cd changer.Anyway i removed the cd changer from my car, took the outside black cover apart only to see that a white big wheel came of its place,(its the wheel that holds the cd in place from the top (bottom wheel is black attached directly to the motor,as the cd is sandwitched between the black, and white wheels) .if that wheel is out of place the cd will not turn inside the changer for the eye to read it,so your radio screen will read NO CD OR NO DISC.Very easy fix, just place the wheel in its place, and everything worked fine,it took me 20 minutes to fix.
p.s :
1- you do need to make sure you have an original cd in for testing it.
2- you do not need to recode your cd changer at the dealer if you have an old bmw, dealer will need to recode cd changers for 2006 and up.
Good luck.

Bose Wave Music Sys & 3 CD Changer

I have had a few of these come to my shop. The gears jump out of timing causing the cd lift to jam or become unalligned. The unit will probably have to be disassembled to get the CD out or have it serviced.

CDs will not load

hi make sure that you cart is inserted all the way in, push the eject button why hitting the mag with the handle of ascrew driver. this may dislodge the jammed arm/lever. otherwise its down to your repair agent.
