Nikon LL110 still says no more memory after formatting new card

Nikon LL110 said memory full. Bought new card SDHC. Formatted it because it said card can't be used. I took 11 pictures and now it says there's no more memory when the card is out and this card can't be used when its in.

Sounds like you have the wrong type memory card for the camera, check user manual and make sure you have bought the right type and capacity card.

SOURCE: Flash memory card

Perhaps it didn't complete formatting. This happened to my mom and I tried her card in my camera and it wouldn't work there either. We had to replace. You might take it back since you just bought it. That way, you will know if it's the card or the camera.

SOURCE: nikon coolpix 885 out of memory

if you formatted the memory in the camera, and the camera can not see the available space, then you have a non-user serviceable issue. send to nikon. you can call them for online assistance, however it is unlikely you will get a different answer.

SOURCE: Can a SDHC card be used with a CF card adapter in Nikon D70s?

You would have to get an SDHC to CF adapter which could be pricey and they are hard to come by.

SOURCE: Nikon 4300 CF Card Erro

The Nikon Coolpix 4300 only supports the FAT16 filesystem, so it can only support a 2GB partition. To support 4GB you need a FAT32 filesystem.
Put the card in a CF writer and attached to a PC or Mac. Partition 2x2GB partitions, then format them as FAT16. Now put it into the Coolpix 4300 and it should work.

Got s205 coolpix and experiencing problem whnever i put in the SD card.. it always says. card cannot be read.. card that im using is a new one and it is 4gb.. dunno if the problem is in the cam or the...

Actually a 4GB SDHC card should be compatible with an S205, as that camera is new enough to work with SDHC. One thing to try before going through the below linked troubleshooting tips is if you have another card, try it in the camera. If the camera recognizes it, then it's likely that the card you purchased was defective, thus you should return it.

For others reading with similar problems, there are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common is trying to use a 4GB or higher SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Other causes include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

By the way, if you're using a brand new SDHC card, the L10 is indeed an older camera and can only utilize 2GB or less standard SD cards.

I bought a new SD card for my powershot SD600. I have tried two different cards and they both say they can be formatted. What is the problem?

Bet it's a brand new SDHC card.

Memory card wont format. I bought a new 4G sandisk memory card but all it says after formatting is the card is full.

The S200 uses SD cards. Your new 4GB card is actually an SDHC card and will not work in the S200. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Nikon digital camera malfunction

Hey jackie jean,
If the two year extended warranty you are talking about is a performance service plan purchased at a Best Buy™ store then you could bring the camera into a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy™ store, and they should be able to send it out for service at no charge to you. I am assuming you formatted the memory card in the camera, but if this is not the case and you have formatted the memory card using your computer then I would suggest formatting the memory card in the camera. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan
