Sound amplifier ic??******** this guy is talking out of his ***.
F61 relates to fan error. There are two fans, one of them is either spinning too slowly or not at all.
This fan can be purchased in any computer store. Just remove it and take it with you.

you need to service your system,if you go to www.technics.co.uk and go to dealer locator to find a local service centre it might be costly to repair but find out before you go any further

I have a technics SA-EH760 i have touched the wire speakers and now have an error code of F61 i have taken the top off but cant see anything obvious

F61 - error code. This will trigger if the unit has gone into overload to avoid further damaged to other parts. The common causes of this error code. 1. Output IC - this is the most common caused of the error code. Once shorts happened to this IC, it will trigger the error code. Exposure to high volume and/or running in the long time will caused this IC to shorts and produce an overload.
2. Shorted Speaker - if one of your speakers shorts, error code will appear also. This may isolate by disconnecting the speaker to the set and play the unit *****. If the symptom still there the fault came from the unit itself.
3. Shorted Inputs - inputs connector is also prone to shorts due to frequent bending and pulling. To isolate this from fault, disconnect all the inputs connected to the unit like the aux input, antenna, mic, etc.
4. Faulty power supply - once gone to out-of-regulation condition, the error code will appear to protect the most expensive parts from further damaged.Bad solder joints in this section is also to consider.
5. Faulty Fan and its circuitry - F61 will appear only after a minute of operation not upon powering on the unit. Check the fan if working or not...
Also, check whether your unit is still within the warranty period, because the manufacturer will fix it for free.

My panasonic music system (SA VK-960) Is not working properly it shows (F61) error all the components are well attached with music system but there is still F61 error . Help us to resolve this error.

See page 40
Power Supply Error Code Table http://diagramasde.com/diagramas/otros2/panasonic_sa-vk960gc.pdf

Suggest checking power resistors in amp circuits for failed resistor. replace with identical rating in that the power resistors are used in the saftey circuits. Also check around these resistors for failed solder connection.
Hope this helps?

Hi my panasonic sa vk90d is giving me an f61 problem when i turn it on

Hi,
F61 is an error code(protect error code in other brand) for panasonic home theater system. This will trigger if the unit gone to overload to avoid further damaged to other parts. This code is quite technical if your not handy with electronics. However I will say to you the common caused of this error code.
This may isolate by disconnecting the speaker to the set and play the unit naked. If the symptom still there the fault came from the unit itself.
3. Shorted Inputs - inputs connector is also prone to shorts due to frequent bending and pulling. To isolate this from fault, disconnect all the inputs connected to the unit like the aux input, antenna, mic, etc.
4. Faulty power supply - once gone to out-of-regulation condition, the error code will appear to protect the most expensive parts from further damaged. Bad solder joints in this section is also to consider.
5. Faulty Fan and its circuitry - F61 will appear only after a minute of operation not upon powering on the unit. Check the fan if working or not...
I would advice you to send the unit to your local Panasonic service center and leave the expert isolate the symptoms.
Also, check if your unit is under warranty period, avail it because the manufacturer will fix it for free.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

DISPLAY STARTS OK THEN F61 APPEARS THEN STEREO SWITCHES OFF

Probaby needs the output ic. F61 is an output/power error code. But check that the fans turn before trying to replace or taking it in to be fixed. If a fan is not turning you will get F61 too.
