I recently purchased the above. It has 144 hrson the lamp. When I turn it on, the projector comes on and there's an image that comes one. No more than 5 sec's later, It powers down. I turn it back on and it shuts off right away. The filter is clean and secured well. Im confused.

Re:
This sort of problem is almost always a lamp problem, regardless of the number of hours. The only way to verify this is to try the lamp in another projector that works fine, or a new lamp in yours. Testing the lamp in circuit is practically impossible for this model, and testing it out of circuit is unlikely to identify for sure what the problem is.
If you need help sourcing a new lamp, please ask again and I will try to find you the best deal - prices vary wildly on these.
Hope you can find another projector to test with :)

Perhaps clean the side filter as well as per page E-46 in the manual on following link:

The blue device is dying allowing green to shine thru instead of white. Very common problem called color decay. Happens on average about evey3-4000 hours. I suggest next purchase a dlp product, they are immune to this problem. Good luck
The lcd polerizer(not sure this is proper name ) is bad.It has three: red, green, blue and one of them is bad. I also have a similar issue but only on the left side. Took it apart and found the bad one.
Looks like the wrong lamp was installed, or the cooling fan is not working. Careful - it may be permanently damaged, as the LCD inside can be hurt by high temperatures.
No special tools needed. these units (dlp projectors) are designed so the lamps and color wheels can be changed out by the user. Some can figure out how to do this easily without instructions but to be safe just do a quick search and find step by step instructions. You can also refer to your owner's manual.
Your lamp is not lighting up most likely. Try removing the lamp assembly and clean the contacts. If that does not work then you will probably need to replace the lamp. Also try resetting the timers. Refer to you owner's manual for info on how.
