some universal remote will not work with another brand of tv,your best bet is buy the samsung remote.

First off. What kind of RCA remote. and second 1.Turn on the TV 2. Press and hold the TV button 3. Enter the 4 digit code *1004,1048,1049,1050,1080,1107,1108,1162,1169,1180
4. Press the on off button (may need to press twice) 5. if nothing works try entering another code.
Note: your remote may only need a 3 number code. but most require 4
