My stove whenever i use my oven, after about 20 mins the oven cuts off and on the display window shows "EO-F2". Does anyone know what that means? I notice it happens more in the summer when the weather is humid. Sometimes if i unplug it for a period of time and plug it back in it works. Please help!!!!!!!!!!

My range and oven are both off. I have not used either one in over 12 hours. And now it beeps and dispalys the EO F2 code and makes annoy noises.

I have not tried to do anything as I was concerned that this could be a gas related problem.

I will try unplugging it for a short time then plug it back and see what happens

This indicates that the control coolinf fan is not working correctly so the safety thermostat cuts out the cooker until the surface area cooles down, this could be caused by a faulty fan motor of a faulty cut in thermostat Regards, Engineer

Hi I am getting an EO-F2 display on my stove Could you please tell me what this code signifies is the problem? Thank you Kurt

Hi
Error F2-E0 error means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the sensor is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue start by checking the oven temp. sensor for 1100 ohms, if the rating is more then that then check the control and door switch and replace the part that is bad. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2-E0 on your oven means that the keypad is shorted and to resolve this issue you'll have to replace the electronic range control/clock(ERC). Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

I can't find my model number on my Sears Kenmore Gas stove. Several times now the stove has beeped then kicked out with EO and F2 showing in the clock area. The stove was bought in 2000 or 1999. Can you...

Hi,

The tag with the model number is usually located on the rail that is visible with the lower drawer open.

The code you are getting is an indication that the oven got too hot or the control thinks the oven got too hot. It is usually do to one of two parts that have failed.

If the oven did not get too hot and you got the failure code, then the sensor would be bad.

If the oven did get too hot then the ERC (electronic range control) is bad.

Whirlpool Gold Range Error code EO F2

On this website: http://www.repairclinic.com/0078.asp#Whirlpool , it shows all of the codes for the Whirlpool errors. Based on the remarks, if it shows a "4 digit failure code" it is "Shorted keypad"
"Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC)"

But verify this as I am not an appliance repair specialist. I am a computer nerd who just knows how to find information. I am actually trying to figure out an answer to my own problem with my Whirlpool Gold Accubake.

EO F2 code

THIS IS GENERALLY A BAD ELECTRONIC RANGE CONTROL OR ERC BOARD
