USB port randomly not working

I'm having an issue where the USB port on the unit is randomly not working, it will continually flash "check" when I plug in the thumb drive and just keeping checking endlessly, i've tried unplugging and plugging the flash drive back in with no luck, i've plugged the flash drive up to my pc and everything on it is just fine. Sometimes it will actually working tho, the problem only just starting happening recently and nothing has changed in the vehicle. I was wondering if anyone else have experienced this and possibly found a way to fix it? Thanks!

Sounds like dirty contacts on the radios faceplate. If this radio is a flipdown face style then I'd suspect the contacts on the back of the faceplate that connect to the radio when you close the face. Cleaning agents vary from pencil erasers to rubbing alcohol...

Why does my PAC unit continuously flash PF at random and simultaneous intervals?

Wild guess this is a portable air machine? with a tube out a window? Wild guess, there's a condensate "leak" where it shouldn't be. The tank drain might be blocked for some reason. or level of the machine or coils are dirty in spite of the filter.

Rear USB doesn't recognize USB keys or other USB appliances

Hi,

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for your usb ports?
Not all usb ports are powered, this is why there is an external power supply required sometimes. Does the usb stick work in any other port or on another computer - check your manual and see if the port you are plugging it into is powered or not if you don't have the manual it can be downloaded from the website. Having said that it is rare for a usb stick to require power..sometimes after continued use you can get a short on your port that can also cause issues and be very hard to spot, especially if its intermittent. Also check for any grunge that may have accumulated within the port.
I have also had some usb sticks that were just temperamental, try another in the same port as they are pretty cheap these days for small ones.
Hope this helps and happy to help further if required.
Here is a link to your manual.
Cheers

I have a Lenovo M90-5485W3V and the USB ports stop working. It boots OK and sometimes you can logon and sometimes you can't. The USB ports stop working and you cannot do anything, but hard power it...

i,d try going to download.com , look for driver booster 4.50 , download & install and run a scan , its possible the driver has gotten corrupt & you could also go into the device manager and see if theres any issues there ,but try driver booster first

USB not working

if the usb detects other devices and not your drive, the drive itself may be faulty. If you plug in other devices in the usb and it detects them the usb drive or its connector is most likely bad.If it won't detect any devices the port is bad and drivers won't help.Possibly a motherboard issue.

My pc won't detect my printer, my printer is brother dcp 150-c

have you connected the printer's USB port to your CPU? If not, then do so. If after doing it, still your PC don't detect your printer, make sure you have a functional USB port. To check it, try using a USB Flash drive if it works with your PC. If it won't, you might have to "Enable" your USB at your BIOS.

Running XP pro on a Compaq Presario Desktop AMD. Two USB ports on front of unit worked prior to reinstalling OS . Afterwards plugging in a flash drive that worked previously... Computer will Sometimes...

Check to see if the back ports behave the same way with the flash drive, If so then it appears to be a software issue. If not...look closely at the pins inside the ports and make sure none are bent. If attempting to straighten pins be sure to power system off first. Also check inside the case to see that the front USB connectors are secure. Also
