Hi, any advice on how I can fix my V3? as soon as it opened its as if the number 2 is being pressed continually, or sometimes it goes straight to browser without me pressing any buttons. If solution is to open the phone up, then any advice about how to do that would be helpful as well. Thanks
Replace the lcd flex cable which also contains the keypad, it's a v ery common problem.

Note, this requires removing the electronics, flip cover, separating the flip from the body, removing the silver keypad and tearing out the old flex (it's tack glued to the body). You reassemble by first feeding the "ends" of the new flex at the top (two ends, lcd cable and flip sensor), peel the backing off being careful not to let the flex contact the body just yet. Use round toothpicks from the bottom to align and hold the flex, the flex and body have two alignment holes (the alignment is extremely important) feed the lower ends of the flex through the body (board contacts and microphone). Finally remove the toothpicks from the back, one at a time, insert them on the flex side lightly (no glue contact yet). Make sure everything is straight, you must have clearance on the outer edges of the flex to reinstall the silver keypad. When satisfied with alignment, press flex into place and reassemble the phone. If you do this yourself, buy two flex cables, it's easy to ruin a new one. (Note, after disassembly just before ripping out the old flex you can test with a new flex to make sure it truly is the problem, requires acrobatic ability.)
