I have the same problem and from my reading it sounds like I am one of a thousand. This shredder is put together with PLASTIC!!!! Give me a break!!! Anyone knows when you have medal blades running together shredding one or seven pieces of paper like it say it will do, It is bound to get warm or even hot. If you heat plastic over and over it becomes brittle. Who are the engineers that put this thing together??? I'm sure it was to make money knowing that people would have this problem. Therefore this comment means nothing to them.

Same problem, gear next to metal gear. Replaced it with one from the other side of tooth shaft which has less stress on it and it works better, but not perfect

Two of the plastic gears are broken on my shredder and I have no idea where to find the parts? Any suggestions?

Most likely a gear has either stripped or broken inside the shredder. That model has been discontinued for quite sometime and no parts are available for it.

Safety Interlock "Switch"

This is not the safety interlock switch. This flat bar keeps shredder paper from backfilling into the cutters. The safety interlock switch is a vertical slot on the body that a tab on the top fits into.

Ts 4500 blades not moving

From the sound from your description, it is Probably a cracked gear or a worn bushing.

To get a better idea, you would have to take it apart to see what is going on inside.
