We are having problem with the 5094 gold medal fryer need help. You get it lit and will get up to temp maybe stay on for a while then all of a sudden the gas shuts off ploit and all then the next time you try to lite it you have proplems then maybe it will lite stay on . Then mabey not.
It sounds like the pilot orfice could be clogged or the thermocouple is weak.will the pilot always light then go out?if so the t-couple is bad

i've got two gold medal fryers up in canada
yes, carbon does build up and things either won't stay lit, or they only fire partially.
the jets are pin sized holes, and carbon will build up to the point that they won't even fire.
clean the jet noodle heads (copper fixings where flame comes out)
i'll tell you right now though...they are hard to get at in the 5094, a little easier in the 5099

i have a gold metal fryer that is propane.
The jets will not stay lit, some will not light at all. I cant maintain my cooking temperature.
I was told that it could possibly be a build up of carbon in the jets, is this possible? if it is how can the problem be corrected.
Have others experienced similar problems with this deep fryer.
Can anyone help? Or refer me to a knowledable service center in the Los Angeles area.
