i have a gold metal fryer that is propane.

The jets will not stay lit, some will not light at all. I cant maintain my cooking temperature.
I was told that it could possibly be a build up of carbon in the jets, is this possible? if it is how can the problem be corrected.
Have others experienced similar problems with this deep fryer.
Can anyone help? Or refer me to a knowledable service center in the Los Angeles area.
    Thank you

Hey

i've got two gold medal fryers up in canada

yes, carbon does build up and things either won't stay lit, or they only fire partially.

the jets are pin sized holes, and carbon will build up to the point that they won't even fire.

clean the jet noodle heads (copper fixings where flame comes out)

i'll tell you right now though...they are hard to get at in the 5094, a little easier in the 5099

Imperial Deep Fryer pilot won't stay lite

When the pilot goes out and won't stay lit is is usually because the Thermocouple safety device has failed.

The burners should never be on when the thermostat is off. That is incredibly dangerous. You need a gas registered service technician.

Gas fire wont stay lit

The thermostat probably reached the set temp, but maybe the pilot lite blew out. Or the control needs to be replaced.

Bakers pride deep fryer will only stay lit for couple of minutes and then shut off

Hi there!
Normally hi limit sensing bulb is thicker and shorter than that of thermostat.
Try tightening all wire terminal crimps and connection.

Pilot stays lit but when you turn on temp switch pilot gets very low and burners will not light

has orifice been changed? Is this a used fryer that may have previously operated on LP gas? If so, there will be insufficient volume of gas (Nat) to the burner. Also check supply pressure at unit. Make sure supply line isn't damaged or distorted in that it may restrict flow to fryer.

Light pilot on Royal deep fryer. Pilot will not stay lit. Second fryer has larger pilot have no trouble keeping it lit. How can I adjust the pilot so that it will stay lit?

there is a small adjustment screw on the gas valve, turn it clockwise to increase pilot,if that does not work the vent cap on the gas regulator on the back of the unit could be stopped up,remove that cap ,clean out or replace unit can operate without it just fine.If you increase the pilot and it still wont stay lit replace the thermocouple

Imperial gas fryer problem, when the burners are

You have a bad gas valve. It's not reading the signal from the thermostat. The gas valve is stuck open.

Imperial fryer IFS-40

I had a very simular problem. My fryer would do exactly as you described, but sometimes the pilot light would stay on until the burners tried to re-ignite and then it would go out.
I finally had to call the gas company. They took the pilot light apart and cleaned it. The fryer works perfect now.
Hope this helps!
