Lately my Iway 500C has been acting flaky - on occasion the map view mode button (which selects between north-up, track-up, and 3D modes) remains blue and the touchscreen won't respond to anything else for a time - as if it thinks I'm touching (and holding) that area of the screen. I've tried recalibrating the touchscreen but still have the problem. On a related note, I have to recalibrate the screen fairly often to keep the touch screen remotely accurate. When it gets bad enough for example, it's tough even to clear the power-up nag screen. Anyone else seeing these types of problems with the Iway?
Yes! I have an iWay 500C and all of a sudden, it started having serious calibration issues. I try to press a button on it and it thinks I'm pressing something about 2 inches below where I really am. I can't even get to the option to re-calibrate it when it does this, since the recalibration menu option is near the top of the display! I still have to experiment more, but the last time it did this, I think I had success by powering the unit on, waiting for it to finish getting a "fix" on the location (so the processor in it wasn't so busy), and then drawing a few big circles around the display with my finger. After that, it seemed to "snap into calibration" again.
