I have a Compaq Presario S6300NX, had it for awhile, I have had no problems with it up until now, with no warning, no clue, no hint, and just out of the blue after a normal shutdown last night, woke up this morning and went to turn on the computer and nothing hsppened, no lights, no beep, no screen absolutely nothing happened, although I have noticed the little green light on the back of the computer near where you plug the AC cord in is Blinking and not a steady on as it should be under normal conditions, What does this indicate? Is it time for a new internal power supply? I have checked the power sorces (powerstrip, wall outlet and the AC Cord) and they are all good. [email protected]
Most common reason for this would be defective power supply, if it is less than 1 year old, may still be under warranty. If older then you can usually find replacement power supply $40+ at local computer store. Not to difficult to replace, average tech could swap it in less than 15 minutes. Can test it with one of these: http://www.antec.com/Detail.bok?no=429

When I go to turn on the computer, nothing. The green light where the power supply cord is on. When I hit the button in the front to turn the computer on...the green light goes off and there is no power. When I pull the power supply cord out and replug it the green light goes on and I still cannot get power to the tower.
