First you would expect a notebook pc to run hot so don't worry too much, as long as you here the fan cutting in, but try to keep as well ventillated as possible and hoover around the vents in case of blockages. The shutdown may have also have been caused by a corrupt driver. Secondly the virtual memory is what windows uses to start up applications quicker when you use the same ones regularly, so this means that the memory you have fitted is low, as your graphics will take the memory usage up depending on the type of graphical hungry games you run, as well as applications, so i would suggest fitting another memory stick, as you probably have 512MB fitted, so fit another 512MB stick to take it to 1GB of memory. As for cleaning up temp files and obsolete registry files, i would recommend Ccleaner, it's free and free of any spyware. You can download it here:- http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

this has to be caused mainly due to some hardware problems or hard disk problems. try removing your bus wire the white belt you have connected with your hard disk and reconnect it again . if it doesnt work try replacing a ram for temporary to chech the problem whether its caused by ram. let me know if the problem persists.. thank u :)

Unable to get into safe mode

hi there !

-try t drain everything out of the computer first; remove the power adapter then remove the battery; after 1 minute try again; if problem persists run diagnostics
--while the computer is off, press and hld the "Fn" key then press the power button at the same time to start the test; note down error message then consult manufacturer for the code obtained. if no errors found it is a windows problem; you need to reinstall windows on the computer

cheers!

My computer shut down windows to prevent damage from my computer

Try tapping the F5 or F8 key (could be either one) right after you power up. This should take you to a short text message with a couple of choices to continue; you'll find the Safe Mode option there.

Blue screen of death

you need to boot from the cd, you have to change the boot senquence to start wth cd rom, when it prompts you to press any key to boot form cd,do that, it will load some files then restart again and the same message will appear, this time don't press any key, just let it continue on its own.

I cannot reformat my pc windows xp,there's an error

If you are getting an error during installation its not good :(

Its prob either yor ram or hard drive faulty. Download memtest and test ram 1st as thats the most likely cause. Check that optimised defaults are loaded in bios also.
