Radio Shack 3822 Digital Answering Machine

I lost the programming guide for my answering machine, and now the time is all messed up. It keeps track of my messages but with the wrong time. I tried resetting the time, but without my user guide, I'm lost.

There should be a greeting,greet,record,or rec button on the front.Press it and hold it down.It will prompt you what to do.

How do you record a message. I have lost my instructions.
Hold the GREETING button. Record your message at the beep. Release the button when done.
