Question about Dell W1900 19 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
My Dell W1900 LCD TV is a couple of years old. Whenever we unplug it from the wall (or have a power cut), it forgets all its channel settings. I'm guessing that there's a backup battery in there somewhere that needs replacing - does anyone know whereabouts inside the set I should look for it?
Has it always forgotten the channels when you unplug it or is this just a recent development? I know that on my old standard tube television or VCRs, the channel memory is always reset if they are unplugged - the same being true if the power goes out.

No, this is a recent development - it used to remember the settings.
I had a Phillips tube TV some years back which eventually developed exactly the same problem - in that case I was able to locate the backup battery which was soldered into the main circuit board. With the Dell I've looked, but the battery isn't anywhere obvious.
Thanks for the suggestion, though!
