Question about Fisher and Paykel Active Smart E522B Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
Sounds like small icecubes flyind around at the back and bottom of the freezer compartment. From the back the rocktrowing sound is at the bottom left.a.s.a you open the door it stops.there is a fan between fride and freezer Is there another fan at bottom?
Most of f&p make this noise its most annoying, but could also be ice buildup on the fan blades, creaking and cracking is normal as the pipes expand and contract is these thin foamwall fridges, not nice fridges, insulation has been compromised to lower cost, they work twice as hard at keeping cool

forgot to mention.... modified fan blades are avialable that are supposed to not produce noise or ice buildup, you need to see your agent
I have same problem, Have had mine for 15 years no problem until last summer, had fan and element replaced but just recently been making very load noise like things flying around inside but stops when you open the doors. It seems to be working ok other than very annoying very load noise. Any ideas?

Hi there -
I too have this problem (though with an E402blw) .. but after I got rid of the ice build up in the freezer - I noticed that the (convection?) Fan that sits at the back of the freezer had a blade broken off .. Sure enough when I put the thing back together it is still sounding like there is a pneumatic drill going off in there !! As the fan is mounted on rubber struts - is the fan running off centre with the blade missing ? - Is there any way of tricking the fan to start up with the door open ?
Thanks for any help ....
