More info is needed: type of car? what you are trying to do needs to be explained in more detail. Are you trying to replace the head unit?

I have a Power Acoustik PD-710,,I cant get my USB to work. It keeps saying USB error. I have checked my usb on my laptop and other car stereo and it works. It dont work with the power acoutik

Okay I am assuming that you are referring to a USB thumb drive aka memory stick which contains mp3, wma (YOUR STEREO ONLY PLAYS MP3 AND WMA VIA USB NOTHING ELSE MANUAL SAYS) audio tracks and a certain specific format (formatting is done on computer, windows and different types of formats are supported on different devices). NTFS, fat32, exfat. Typically I think they like fat32 before but I have had all of my drives formatted for NTFS on newer equipment and had no issue with it. Um since you checked the drive and its working it's probably not that. It could be the connector on your stereo there. But if its new it's probably a formatting/compaitbility issue with the stereo. Heres the manual http://www.poweracoustik.com/pa2012/manuals/PD-710-T.pdf Also this stereo is a really cheap brand so they don't work as well and dont have that great of support. A Google search of that an similar stereos from them came up with several issues. There is very little USB power coming from that port so it's probably only enough power to connect a thumb drive. Some people have cables connecting to other devices and that is probably not going to work. I would get a different usb stick reformat it on the computer and copy some mp3's over.

How can i get a harnest and plug for power acoustik PTID-4003 car video player

Call Power Acoustik and tell them you had it for a few years and used it in a few cars so the harness has been chopped so short you need to get a new one. I'm sure if it was originally yours, they will want a receipt for the stereo brand new and they may sell it to you if it is available. If not, I sell new Soundstream Stereos at a very low discounted rate, as well, Power Acoustik.

Check out the link below, we are the lowest price online for any of their products because we are closing all of the products out since they have driven the product line down to portray them as low as Dual and Craig., as a matter of fact, the products are all great, but, they do not protect their dealers and allow distributors to sell them online on Ebay, cheaper than the delaer's cost with free shipping, which has driven us away from them because we can't make a profit.

Anyway, they should be able to sell you one, if not, give me a call or check our site, we sell their distributed products as well and may have a harness available on the website.

Missing wire 4 from manual....whats the name of wire

just had the same problem-it does not come with the stereo or even the DTV1 box, it only comes with the NAV1 unit. Luckily I found a local stereo shop that sold me one out of ther NAV1 box since I only bought the DTV1 box with the stereo and I needed it. So hopefully you will have teh same luck , either that or you will have to buy it directly from Power Acoustik.

Car amp turns off when RCA wires are plugged in.

Hello joshua_m_moe,

A short or ground on the RCA cables or too high of an output level from the head unit could cause this. First, try it with the amp gain turned all the way down. Then, replace the cables with a known good pair. If the problem is still there, it's probably coming from the head unit. If there is another pair of preamp outputs, switch to them. If the problem still persists, I'd suspect the head unit.

Hope this helps.

Not On List - Power Acoustik PADVD350

to answer #2: go to radio shack and purchase an ignition power filter. This is wired to the power input side of the unit to eliminate ignition noise. ...but not sure about remote...it should not be a wire problem...try removing batteries of remote and re-inserting to "polish" the contacts.
