Make sure the dryer is mounted high enough for you to open the lid and it is not too high that you can't get clothes in & out. Apart from that enjoy the extra space :)

No Jim, that amount of lint is normal in all of those dryers. You should clean it out annually to prevent fires. The front panel under the door is all that you should have to take off to get to the heater coil and to clean it out.

Hayward Swimming PoPump is 4 years old - when I opened pool, pump

it you've inspected all the wiring for possible shorts, the most likely problem is that the motor has developed a short in the windings. You may have to replace the motor. First check for loose connections and make sure the wiring going to the pump is good. Also, check the start capacitor, should be under the hump or under the end cover on the motor. If it's bloated or leaking, it's bad.
Most likely the winding have a direct short.

My washer has been difficult to maintain balance when spin cycle is running for about a month. Also, the dryer has not been spining the clothes as dry as it usually did. Tonight, I put a load in and the...

You did not say what model washer you have. Top Load, Front Load and Model Number... That is very important.

As for the dryer..... If the washer is not getting a decent amount of water out of the clothes then the dryer could be becoming damaged continuing to use it. A dryer simply evaporates the water on tumbled clothes in it. It is is set on a TIME DRY setting, I doubt it will work at all. If it is set on AUTO DRY then, it could be running and running and destroying your dryer. You also may have a heating element that is weak or intermitently going on and off.

It is important to know how old, the brand, the model numbers of everything. Also if it is a Gas Dryer or Electric.

Sorry for the extra questions, but it is neccessary.

I have a fixer upper house and put in a vinyl dryer vent to the outside and now i am told that it has to be metal. I have vinyl siding. Does it really have to be metal? where can I find Laws verses...

You can find these "guidelines" at your local municipality's or county's building department.

Psst: Don't go there, just take the suggestion and replace the vent with metal, which will last longer than
the vinyl, and can be painted, if you wish, with vinyl paint to match your siding.

PS: Don't go to the zoning board or building department or you will have to thank me after much expense.
