Having problem with out going faxes. Customers not receiving. HP CM4730 MFP

Having the TAM set to four rings seems a bit high to me. Decrease the ring count on the Tam. the fax ring count does not really matter.
Keep your outgoing message to a minimum . if too long the calling machine will time out and drop off the line.
see how that goes. Also are you using the genuine adaptor lead. Does the tam actually ring? I suspect not. there are literally loads of adaptor leads that will fit and look the same but they are wired internally for that make only.

Hope you have 3G enabled in your mobile, if so you could be able to open the mms.

I had an issue similar to this and it was fixed by replacing the memory dimm on the bottom of the formatter.

have a professional take a look at it to see whether there is any internal damage that disallow for copies to be made.

Replace the magenta cartridge or replace the plastic clear guide on underside of document feeder if happening using the document feeder

Go to hp.com and download new firmware.

I had the same problem and just solved it by going into Setup - then Fax Setup - then All Faxes - Then Speed - and lowering the speed from fast to medium. Sure it's a couple seconds slower, but it finally works!!!

that's a bit serious..this one under warranty?

Check if you have the latest firmware for this multifunctional on www.hp.com, installing newer firmware fixed communication problem for us.

More investigation implies that faxing over VoIP, as I am doing, requires setting the fax BAUD rate to 9600 bps or slower. So does anyone know if it is possible to set the BAUD rate on the Dell MFP 1600n multifunction printers?
