Question about Sony MHC-ZX70DVD System
Have you got cable TV lately? If so, you may have ground loop problem. Easy way is to use isolation transformer to fix it:

It is merely degradation of the connection. Try unconnecting the speakers, cleaning the tips a bit, replacing them in, removing, recleaning, and then replacing a final time. This should get some scoring off of the connection... Aside from this, a new set of speaker wire is the best solution but just let me know what you decide on! Hope this helps!

I have exactly the same problem. Whitesox's solution can't be right because the buzzing is audible even through headphones plugged into the front. It's not the speakers or the connection as far as I can tell. Please help!
I have the same problem - its not the speaker, as it works fine when both speakers are wired up to the same output. Any ideas?
