Power Led (Green) Flashing

Hi for everyone... For some reason, my monitor went to black screen and the power led started flashing on green. I try to look for an error code on internet and I did not find anything about it. When I pressed the power bottom, it continued flashing, and it never shut off. Any hints will be appreciated, Thanks Antonio

    Hi Talk2dfre:

Thanks for your reply. I am currently using the CPU with a CRT monitor. The CPU and Video card is working fine.

I had the same problem last week. The monitor power button was flashing green. the screen was black and periodically flashing. I unplugged the power cord and the computer cord. After plugging in the power cord without the monitor connected to the computer, the monitor started in the test mode (test pattern on the screen). I turned off the computer and monitor and reconnected the monitor to the computer. I restarted the computer and the monitor was fine for several days. I now have the same problem with the monitor flashing green. I tried to reset as I did last week and I was not able to restore the monitor.

    hi,

i'm also facing the same problem. the screen will shut off by itself after some time, and also i can smell a slight burning smell. To get the display back, i will need to off and on the monitor, but it will only display for a short while only.

i have used the methods as described but it is still the same.

    thks in advance!

I believe the computer is causing the monitor to lock up. To reset the monitor, try unplugging the monitor from the computer in addition to the power cord. Connect the monitor to the video output of a seperate computer (I connected mine to a laptap). Start up the computer and plug in the power cord. This reset my monitor and I was able to get it to work for now.
