No, this is an urban legend unless you have a flat panel TV and are leaving it on games with fixed graphics. For example, leaving the GT2 game and playing it for 8 hours straight on a plasma may burn in the speedometer, etc... but honestly even next gen consoles have this type of graphics. If you have a Plasma or older LCD, just DONT have graphics sit still, period. Also, pixellation issues lend people to believe that the large squares are signs of burn in. They arent, just that if staying the same color for a long time they make for NASTIER burn-in.
Hope this helps!

What about audio? Do you have sound. I am asking coz I have seen that in most of the cases the tv will have audio but no video when hooked up to a console. This is because the output resolution of the console does not match with the resolution set on the tv. Please clarify this so that I can help you resolve the issue
I have got a Finlux plasma television and i cant find my instructions. I have just been given a play station 2 and i have put it all correct in my television but its not coming up on my screen. I dont know what channel to put it on, please can you help me!?
I don't think it's a configuration problem at all. I do think that the set is not adjusting to the correct format.
Most Stores have 30 day return policy. If it's over 30 days then they may not take it back. If you bought it online, then, the return may be difficult.
If the return is not possible, then, contact Toshiba online and find a local Toshiba authorized servicer in your area.
Hope this helps.
