It doesn't matter if the DVD is brand new or 4 years old, my DVD player is skipping all of them. About a month ago, I took the cover off and vacuumed out the inside of the DVD player really good for the 1st time since I owned it. That seemed to work for 3 weeks, now it is back to skipping every DVD. Please Help! Is there a replacement part that I can repair myself? I'm desperate!!!

you have a defective dvd player. if it is only 3 months old take it back in exchange or repair under warranty. it all depends whom you purchased the item from. you could try running a cleaning disk, but chances are the players needs to be repaired, or replaced. Don't be surprised, i've bougth several in the last couple of years, two i had to take back the same day and exchange them. All of these electronics are made so cheap, it takes two or three units to get one good one. Try to stay away from RCA, Panasonic, and LiteOn.
Hi have you got the speakers near the CD unit and if so is it on a secure shelf as my friend had the exact same problem ? It turned out that the Bass from the speakers were making his CD's skip
Hope this helps Nick

Return the unit to the store which you purchased it from. You have an internal problem with the scanner (led) You can first try to clean the led this could be your problem. They sell lens cleaning dvd disks. try it, you have nothing to loose. If this does not work, just bring it back.
