Question about Mitsubishi WS-48613 48" Rear Projection Television

TV won't turn on

So i'm having a problem with my TV. It won't turn on. It's plugged into the wall outlet. Also in the wall outlet is a surge protector with various devices plugged into that which all work perfectly. Things such as a DVD player and a radio. The TV used to turn on fine before with the surge protector and it's devices so i'm thinking it has nothing to do with that. Anyways, when I push the power button on the television, nothing happens. I've pressed the reset button and the power light blinks for about 25 seconds or so before stopping. After I would push the power button again. I've tried holding the power button in for 10 seconds and the reset button for 10 seconds but nothing happens. Still the TV won't turn on. I don't have the manual for the television so using that is not an option. If anyone has any suggestions as to what I should try or do, I would be very grateful. Also, I've had the TV for roughly 5 years or more.

We lost power this morning, and when the electricity came back on, the TV wouldn't turn on. The green light keeps blinking and won't stop. I've tried unplugging it and reseting it, and neither works.

Tv will not power

Make sure the AC power cord is securely connected to a working wall outlet. If plugged into a power strip or surge protector, unplug the power cord and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the TV turns on, the issue is with the power strip or surge protector

Sony KDL 46HX820 turns on, then off and red light blinks four times.

Re: Bravia KDL46EX720. Red LED blinks 4 times and TV wont turn on. What is the problem?

Do a Power Reset.

1. Turn off the TV.
2. Unplug the power cord of the TV from the electrical outlet.
3. Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. (If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.)
5. Turn on the TV.

If the issue still persists after performing power reset, that may be an indication that the TV needs service. You may refer to this link to locate the nearest Sony authorized service center in your area.

I have a 55" Panasonic flat screen that won't turn

Try disconnecting all of your HDMI cables and plugging the power cord of the TV into another wall outlet. If this resolves the issue, you may have had a small power surge from either your wall outlet or one of your source devices. It is recommended to connect your TV to a surge protector if you haven't done so already.

Have an insignia tv that won't power on...was off..made popping noise...won't power on. checked power in both the surge protector it was in & wall. all other items plugged into surge protector work....

Try connecting the TV directly to a different wall outlet and check. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue persists, then the TV requires service.

Follow these steps to troubleshoot the television not turning on:

Make sure the AC power cord is connected securely to a working wall outlet.
NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, unplug it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

Press the POWER button on the television.
Press the POWER button on the remote control that was supplied with the television.
NOTE: If the television turns on and off using the POWER button on the television but does not respond to the POWER button on the remote control, troubleshoot the remote control.

Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into a known working electrical outlet.
Attempt to turn on the television.
IMPORTANT for the following models only:

Unplugging the above television models from the electrical outlet may only be a temporary fix. The problem may reoccur after several months of use. To completely resolve the issue, a software update is available.

For all other models, service will be required if the troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue.

Surge protector shuts off while playing PS3

swap to another surge protector. if it still does it, it is a power surge at the outlet, if it does not, the Surge Proctector has worn out. have someone with the appropriate knowlege have a look at the outlet as well. older outlets especially tend to wear to the point where the plug literally falls out of the wall.
