If you hold your phone with the front lcd facing you (don't flip it open), on the right side of the phone there's a media player/profiles button/key, above that is the cover for the MicroSD slot.

You can turn on the option to view numbers from both Phone and SIM. If you really need to transfter numbers from SIM to Phone or vice versa, download PC Studio software from samsung.com, just type in A707 in their search box and click download.

Got to page 75. Here it is explained how to change the sound settings for the different phone modes. Most probably you are only using the normal mode. Following the instructions in the manual, go down to the

"Volume, Phone Sounds" submenu and choose the volume level "0".

Now the keypad should be silent.

I had the same problem and fixed it by turning off the phone, removing and re-inserting the battery.
