WHEN PRESSING COOK TIME OVEN CLICKS ON FOR ONE SECOND AND RESETS CLOCK

I have the XL1800 Spacesaver oven. When pressing express cook or any other cooking time, the oven comes on for one second, shuts off and the clock resets. I can reset the clock with no problem. It's only when I try to heat something that the oven light comes on, shuts off immediately and clock is reset without any heating. What could this be? Is service necessary? Thanks!

I have a National oven, on any setting, grill, heat, bake whatever.. it functions for about 28 seconds, and then turns off atuomatically. The oven is brand new.. used for a couple of months only :(.
And I cannot find a solution to this problem.

Try unplugging the unit for 30 seconds, which resets the control board.

Same issue exactly with my JVM1860. JJAY481, did you find a fix?

Please try on some other power point as if there is loose contact or sparking in point which cause to switch off as soon as you start because of heavy current drawn by oven and clock also resets. If not solved even then must have some short circuit or over loading in timer circuit or magnetron. in this case you have to call for a service engineer.

Sounds like your losing power, have you tried it on a completely Different circuit??? Either that or bad fuse or connections inside of microwave.

Model JVM1650WH02 will shut off about 2 seconds or less into cook time. everything else works such as light and clock and sometimes the wave will cook.

magnetron is leaking internally, do not use until magnetron is replaced. the mag creates interference with the control board and resets it

Sharp Carousel R-9H76 convection microwave shuts off early in convection mode The convection function does work, but after a few minutes (3 to 5 min) the microwave goes into preheat mode and stays there. This only occurs in convection mode. It starts and stays on pre-heat for several minutes. I was cooking a chicken leg for 7 min at 425 conv and the microwave shut off with 2 min 44 secs remaining.
