Question about Panasonic PV-DV400 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
If the camcorder cant play or record, how do you then use a cleaning tape?

Try a cleaning tape first - best not to rewind the cleaning tape because it will put back the crud previously removed ? into your heads and guides ( last tape to play is prime suspect ) ; - - digital heads wear faster than analog so a new set of heads is next possibility but if the cleaning tape works . . . retire your library soon as possible .

yup -i too have this problem. out of the blue, my panasonic nv-gx7b mini-dv camcorder refueses to do anything with any tape i put in. instead it shows "incompatible tape" on the screen for a few seconds then plays dead.
I have pressed the reset button as per the instructions but to no avail.
if anyone can help or has a proven solution I'd be more than greatful.
cheers, jn
