Car in-dash dvd player went silent, I can see the video, but no sound?

I have a Blaupunkt IVDP-01 that came with my 2002 Suburban. Also of a sudden, we can play and watch DVDs.. but NO SOUND. Pulled out unit from mounting bracket and all wires are where they should be, no visible fuses. Also, I can hear the local TV stations and Video 2 (VCR; picture and sound) but nothing from the DVD player... Any suggestions?

my friend said your unit is prob defective. Here is what he wrote. If all the connections seem to be fine then it is likely that the audio
output on the unit is defective and will require service.

    below
is the information for the service center. Include a description of the
problem and your contact information along with the unit.

    If you have
any further questions please feel free to let me know. sorry

There should be a DVD Repeat modes or "Repeat/Repeat Modes" button on your remote. Press that until it's back to "ALL" and it should play things properly again for you.

call Blaupunkt, they will have an office in Australia somewhere, then ask them who the authorised repair agents are for them in Sydney.

No audio

FM station 88.1 or similar. Set radio to scan while dvd is playing. When the correct frequency is reached, you'll hear sound.
