Ive got a Freecom Classic series DVD Rewriter, and when i goto "My computer" on my PC,it clearly reads DVD-RW drive(F:). But when i insert a blank DVD,it reads CD drive(F:). If i try and burn a 2GB film onto disk,it says there is not enough space. Can anyone help! My mate has also given me his exact one and his says the same on my PC.
I had a similar problem with a Sony External DVD Writer. I updated the firmware and all was right again. If you can identify the model of your drive here ----> http://www.freecom.com/firmware.asp?form1=true&form2=true&serie=12600&Manufactures=12600 ----- Then you can download the firmware, update and you should be set. Hope that helps!
