Question about Brother IntelliFAX 4100 Laser Fax
I recently purchased a Brother 4100e fax machine. I have set up some AUTO DIAL numbers and they seem to be working fine. The problem to resolve: I am trying to both store SPEED DIAL NUMBERS and set up GROUPS. I have entered approximately 45 fax numbers and names so far. Each time I pressed "SET" after entering a name & number, I got the response "ACCEPTED". However, when I print out the AUTO DIAL report, only the first SPEED DIAL I put in appears on the list. While the other 44 names / numbers are there, they do not show up in the AUTO-DIAL REPORT LIST. For the other entered names and fax numbers, I noticed that each blank space location appears to have what looks like a small?scale block letter I. Questions: 1. Did I do something wrong? If so, what did I do wrong? 2. Why aren?t the other inputted names and numbers showing up on the AUTO-DIAL REPORT LIST.
Tips for a great answer:
Groups allow you to send the same fax message to multiple numbers (broadcasting). You can store the Groups on your One-Touch keys or SpeedDial locations and then broadcast by pressing a One-Touch key and Fax Start or by pressing Search/Speed Dial, the three digit location and FaxStart. First, you will need to store each fax number you wish to includein your Group as either a One-Touch or Speed Dial number. Then, you can combine these numbers into a group. Finally, you can have up to six Groups, or you can assign up to 131 numbers to one large Group. Each Group uses one One-Touch key or Speed Dial location. To set up a Group, please follow these steps:
1. Press Menu, 2 (Fax), 3 (Set Auto Dial), 3 (Setup Groups).
2. Press the One-Touch key on which you wish to store the Group or pressSearch/Speed Dial followed by the three-digit Speed Dial location where you wish to store the Group. The LCD will read SETUP GROUP:G0 ENTER & SET.
