Question about Everex StepNote LM7WE Notebook
I have a problem with this laptop which is in fact an Everex laptop model lm1we.It has built in wireless with a quick launch button and a few other buttons. These buttons dont work except for the on/off button. There is no description of these buttons in the manual and the computer came without the installation disk, the os is preinstalled. The Iqon website is no help at all..and on the everex website and the web there is not much about it either. I also keep getting "the new hardware thing detected:Mass Storage Controller" and i can not find details about this either Anyone knows about these computers and know how to fix it?pl give us a shout
Hi Just left click on the My computer icon on the pop up menu click on properties on the window that appears click on the tab called hardware then look for the section called Device manager and click on the button called device manager a new window that appears their is a list of hardware installed on the machine look if any of them has a ? question mark or exclamation mark! that indicates that the device does not have drivers. To install the drivers one need a cd that came with the laptop you will be able to install the drivers and all your devices including your wireless device

Update your mother board drive or PCI bus drive. It shows the windows doesnt have the drive for the special device on your laptop, but the system recognized it. i think thats not a big problem, just update the drive....

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
