Question about Insignia IS-HC04091
I took off cover & removed 1 disc. It was not jammed. It didn't fix the problem until I rotated the disc tray manually. Now it is working again.

I got the same error message this afternoon. And this worked for me. I took the cover off and removed the cd/dvds. then put the cover back on and try it again. I think the problem is simply that the disks had somehow gotten out of the tray. Good luck.

Wags22 solutions worked for me as well. However, one note: after you take out the disk and hit the "standby" button to turn it on (the way I normally turned it on), you still get the error. You have to hit the "AV Select" button to turn it on. After that, it resets the DVD and the player works normally.

i hate insignia .........its a piece of ****
Tonight my Insignia player stopped while playing a dvd... yet again. Not the first time. Definitly the last time. I had finally had enough. I literally punched it and then ripped it from it's connections and broke it into a ninety-degree angle across my knee. Then, very calmly, I took it out to my garbage (which is due to be picked up tomorrow) and put it in and promised myself never to purchase Insignia agian. I bought it at Best Buy because they have/ had a special sales agreement with Insignia for $$$. If you think of purchasing it, don't. Please stop. It's total garbadge.
