Re: wont turn on
Do you have the remote and if so have you tried to do a reset?
Most likely your battery is dead. As in cannot be charged anymore. The good news is that the battery is replaceable. You can sometimes find them on E-Bay for around $20 and they are fairly simple to replace.

Take out the battery and try with just the charger, Batteries for computers have regulators in them and when the batteries die, the computer wont boot.
Sometimes there is a reset switch on the bottom of the laptop, which I'm assuming is the type of computer you're referring to. Check the bottom for the word reset with a little hole by it. With the charger plugged in and working, push the reset switch for just a second or two with a small pen or pointy object, then press your main power button and see if that works.
I'm not asking if the computer will charge, I'm asking if when you have it plugged in does the computer operate normally. You should be able to take the battery out of a laptop and plug in the computer in and the computer should still operate.
click Start>Run then copy and paste the following: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\
replace 'Username" with the name of your user account and press enter
In the new window, find olympus and make sure there are no important data in it and delete the folder then do the same in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data
You will need to re-syn your m:robe and re add songs.
Or you can try sync on a different computer and resync on your own computer
I had to buy an new ac/dc plug piece off of ebay (cost only like $3 bucks) to sodder onto the mother board of my Acer. Somehow the little plastic/metal piece you plug into your computer comes off the mother board really easy. Acer wanted me to purchase a whole new mother board (at frigging $350), which, frankly wasn't an option. So I bought the little plug gizmo, soddered it on, and I'm doing good now.
If the screen doesnt even light up then you pretty much stuffed.
If battery isnt charging then the battery's life is gone. you cant really get another battery all you can do is remove it to prevent damage and use it plugged in.
Open the case by unscrewing the four screws (2on bottom and 2 on side)
