The printer is not reconizing the drum you instaled... For sure it is installed correctly? For sure it was new? It could be a deffective drum kit, if you have another one try it. As for the print quality problem you would need to resolve the drum kit beforte going further as the drum kit may be caussing the print quality problem

My Brother SCP 7020 Laser printer is printing black streaks whenever I try to print a document, how can I fix this?

Remove the drum and toner from the front cover of the machine. On the top right of the drum unit there is a tab that you can slide. Please slide it 20 times from left to right and bring it back to home position.

We seem to have printing superimposed on the pages we copy and the print looks smudged as well..the drum is showing 90% life so wondering if it needs to be cleaned and how?

you need a new drum unit. It's very hard to clean brother drums. The only thing you can do is using a cloth try to polish the bad area. I sell the drum units with a new drum installed for 65.00 delivered. Steven 818-888-0006

How to resolve 'Dust on Drum' error on Brother DCP 7020?

"Drum error" is because there is dust or any thing like ink on the drum.
After I filled the toner with a other brand dry ink, I got this message.
I carefully checked the drum, I found there was some ink on the drum. So took off the toner part, washed the drum kit with the tap water. wait it dry. There is a rubber roller inside, it will take time to dry.
after the drum kit dry, I rolled the drum, there still something on the drum, I use a tissue paper cleared it.
put the toner back, insert it back to the printer. It is fixed.

DCP 7020

If you are using non brother toner then that's the problem, if not it is the drum unit.
