The fax machine we have is showing up 100% in memory, at least, I think that is memory. The memory light is on, so we can't fax anymore. How do I clear the memory?

You can find your answer at the link below. Just type "memory full" in the search dialog box and it will provide you with the many results and solutions for clearing the error. The message can be the result of many issues, so you may need to perform a few different steps:
If the memory becomes full while the document is being scanned, MEMORY IS FULL will appear in the display. This may occur during fax reception if too much data is received before the pages can be printed out.
Press these keys: (function) 6 # #
The display will show: RECEPTION RATIO
Press 1 to turn automatic reduction on.
Select the reception ratio to be used in the event that the memory becomes full (automatic reduction is not possible when the memory is full). Press 1 for 93% or 2 for 100%.
Press the STOP key.
If you are attempting to transmit from memory:
Press the START/MEMORY key if you want to transmit the pages which have been stored up to that point in memory. The remaining pages will be ejected from the feeder.
After transmission, the memory will be cleared and you can transmit the remaining pages.
You will also need to transmit the page which was being scanned when the memory filled up.
Press the STOP key if you want to cancel the entire transmission.
most fax machines will show receiving memory left or transmit memory left, if it showing receiving memory full make sure there are no paper jams and there is lots of paper in paper cassettes and it will start to print all the faxes in memory... if its transmit memory, you will need to clear those documents in memory to be sent, probably waiting in que....
I don't know what brand fax 100 is. But if the memory is full you might try the following.
Unplug the power form your unit for 24 hours and then restart it. The memory should clear itself. ( you really have to unplug it not just shut off the switch if it has one).
There are reasons why the memory got full in the first place. Either the phone line was off and transmitted documents never sent or the receive function was disabled due to a paper jam, out of paper, or toner or a spent drum.
Good luck.
Hi, I can advise you on the 'memory full' problem, mate.
If you get a MEMORY FULL message while scanning the first page of a fax, press Stop to cancel the scan. If you get a MEMORY FULL message while scanning in a subsequent page, you’ll have the option to press Start to transmit the pages scanned so far, or to press Stop to cancel the operation. In this case, send the fax by the Manual Transmission. Depending on your typical faxes, MEMORY FULL errors can occur frequently. If this happens, change the Memory Transmission setting back to OFF. To do this:
Press Function/Set, 3, 9. This should take you to MEMORY TX and MEMORY TX: ON? Then press either the left or the right arrow (< or >) to switch on or off, and press Function/Set. For the next fax transmission only, press < or > to select NEXT FAX ONLY and press Function/Set.
This will mean you don't add any more to the memory and may be able to send faxes. There is a possibility that you will only be able to fax using manual transmission, but at least you should be able to use the machine to fax at all!
I apologise if the jargon is confusing, just try to go through the process one step at a time and you should be fine.
Please feed paper in fax machine and get prints of all messages. this will free machine memory. 2nd option is to reset the fax machine, if this option is available in your fax.
Press FUNCTION key then 9 key. The display will ask you to ENTER FILE NO. OR ^. You want to enter ### as the file number and press SET to delete all files. (You cannot delete the file while it is being sent). The display will then show DELETE ALL FILES? 1:YES 2:NO. Press 1 to delete all files.
The memory light is on and I cannot fax any more
