Not Working! Sony Minidisc player, stuck in standby. Had a disc in itand I've gently got it out. But the player won't respond to any button pushes or remote control commands. Does anyone have a schemetic they could email over? Regards Ian.

Hi,, machine on standy have put a disc in ,red light shows MDLP nothing responding,am pressing various buttons on the machine and on the remote nothing is happening but am able to eject the disc.

Pleeeese Help as i need this for my roadshow as DJ.

Is it an MDS-JE530? Do you have a minidisc in it? If yes, then unplug the unit. Slide the little switch from TIMER "OFF" to "PLAY", then plug the unit back in. After 10 seconds, it should turn on and start playing the minidisc. Let me know if that works or if we need to try something else, okay?

Start button not working standby light staying

The switch is for 'REC' 'Standby' and "PLAY".
If you leave it switched to "Play" and pull the plug and push it in to the wall receptacle (mains) it should start playing after a few seconds delay. The same for "REC". You use a timer unit on the power cord for those.
If you have the switch in the middle position and plugged-in, you should have a tiny Red LED illuminated. Push "Power" and it should start-up and be ready to use in a matter of a few seconds.

Mini Disc Not Working

Pull the power cord. Make sure the three-position switch with "REC/Standby/PLAY" is in the middle position, then plug the cord back in. Wait a minute, then press POWER. Now load a disk and wait 1 minute for it to read the Table of Contents (TOC). Either it will show the tracks, or it will say 'empty disk'. Let us know what happens from there, okay?
