My only suggestion is go back to place where you bought it and exchange for a new one. Most place have a 30 day return policy. I would try that.

SKYPE MICROPHONE PROBLEM
If the person cannot hear you then, either your microphonedriver not installed or not working OR the microphone is not configured inSkype.
To test your microphone then click on Start - All Programs - Accessories -Entertainment - Sound recorder. Then record your voice and then play it back.If this is OK then the microphone need to be configured in Skype.
To configure the microphone - Open Skype - Tools - Options -Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.

I had the same problem and I replaced and/or used "external mic for Notebook " for this purpose and everything is ok now..
pls use new mic and make a test call to SKYPE to hear your mic voice as well..

To confirm use an external microphone that is plugged to the mic input of your PC. If the mic works fine then the fault can be the internal mic. You have not mentioned the PC you are using but I suppose it is a Toshiba. If so the mic is located on the base of the PC... look for the tiny grill opening.

Internal Microphone not working

This is not a problem with mic. Settings in System was changed so that mic has been muted. To enable goto contol pannel and Select Sound & Devices and Select Advanced in Device Volume there you will get Master Volume Settings Menu So that uncheck the Mic option and check for Mic Setting in that.

My microphone doesn't do it right.

Some of the Podcast mics are condenser mics and MUST be used with a preamp or DEVICE that supplies PHANTOM power to the mic.

You computer DOESN"T supply Phantom power.

Read up on Phantom power in Google to understand it.

My micriphone attached to headphone seems not to work.

First, make certain that the mic is really broken, by testing it in another application or devise. Sometimes you cannot hear your own voice unless you are in recording mode! If the mic is found to be working, then try to reconfigure the software, or the Yahoo connection. Good Luck!

Sounds like a physical problem with your input jack. Try plugging it into another microphone port. Most computers have at least two, one in back and one in front.
