Replacement lamp I recently acquired a Mitsubishi 62" HDTV which the lamp has gone out on. I purchased a new lamp and installed it however there still is no picture. The TV will power on for a short time with no picture and then it will power off and the lamp light will come back on. In the manual it says to reset it by selecting menu on the remote however with no picture that is not possible to do. I did use the system reset on the front of the TV and it still didn't work. What do you suggest?

The caused of this symptoms is not a faulty lamp but the DM power board gone to malfunction due to out-of-regulation condition. The faulty parts there are the electrolytic capacitors. You have to replaced all electrolytic capacitors on that board to resolve the issue.
For more info regarding electrolytic capacitor, watch the video below.
Red light indicates the lamp has failed to light. You may just need to buy a new lamp. If that does not help then the capacitors on PWB-Power need to be replaced or the lamp ballast itself has gone bad.
