The water is getting to the icemaker, but is not making ice. We are also gettin water pooling on the inside of the refigerator. I do not know if this is related or not. We can see water dripping from the upper back wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mine's done that twice and I take everything out, including the shelves. Then take out the back panel and at the bottom there will be frozen ice. That means when your unit defrosts it is not draining but running across the bottom of your freezer and then out on the floor eventually. I get a hair dryer and hold it right on the frozen ice at the bottom and it may take 20 minutes of just holding it there but it will melt the ice and then when you least expect it all the water will drain and you can put it all back together.
I have pooling inside the freezer, which freezes and then leaks on the floor. Does anyone have the 7 year wrap around warrantly? I bought one with my frig in 2002 and have misplaced it. I wonder what is covered on this frig full of problems.

Your defrost drain is most likely blocked with ice or sludge. Now when your refrigerator goes into defrost it pours into base of freezer or just anywhere it can to pool up. Either the icemaker support is broken, DA61-01801A
or the ice tray is damaged or has lime buildup. The ice tray is
supposed to twist when it flips: an off-center stud on the tray catches
the support, while the tray is still turning. If it does twist but does
not release ice - replace or clean the ice tray, part number DA63-02284B
first thing to do is check to see that water is getting to the icemaker simply stick your finger inside the ice maker and check that there is water in there usually icemaker can be removed by three screws 1/4" against the wall if you have water and can feel ice on the inside remove the icemaker and flush with hot water then reattach the ice maker and wait 24 hrs to see if you get ice if it still does not work then your in need of a new icemaker which uyu can get from marcone appliance parts they willship the unit directly to your door and you wont have to pay a technicain installation charge hope this helps
Defrost drain tube is clogged. Have to clear this by removing back wall inside freezer and removing the ice build up inside the defrost tray and tube. Very very hot water and hairdryer will help with this process. hope this helps.
I installed a new icemaker (cost approx $100) and its making ice. Very easy to install yourself (remove 4 screws holding part below icemaker, then unplug icemaker, and unscrew the 2 screws holding it in place.). Good luck-
If this is your water dispenser leaking Your water inlet valve on the back where the
water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out
of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just
drips after use.
I assume the water valve you replaced is the fill valve located within the refigerator.
If so, I suggest that you check the saddle needle valve on your water supply pipe - (generally in the basement). It may have finally clogged up totally from calcium deposits.
Replacing it may resolve the problem. Even if it does not, you've spent less than 10 dollars on it and you've eliminated one of the possible causes.
The freezer compartment has a drain hole behind the back wall inside the freezer compartment. The drain hole has probably rusted and has gotten larger. Carefully remove the icemaker and the screws from the back wall inside the freezer compartment. Lift the bottom of the back wall and look to see if the drain hole has gotten larger. You can make a small funnel from an aluminum can to fit over this area directing the water into the drain tube. It worked for me. good luck. Dave.
IT DOESNT MEAN YOU GETTIN WATER IN THE WATER DISPENSER THAT THE VALVE IS OK.MOST FRIDGES ARE FITTED WITH TWO VALVES.CHECK THAT THE ICE MAKER VALVE IS WORKING IF THATS OK YOU MIGHT HAVE A PROBLEM INTERNAL ON THE ICE MAKER BEST YOU GET A TECHNICIAN TO CHECK THAT.GOOD LUCK.MOHAMED
