My wife uses her E10 for talking books ripped off CDs. The latest one we have loaded appears in chapter order when looking at each album, but when played the tracks are random. We have named each CD as separate albums for ease of use, but this playback is a problem which has only recently appeared , and may relate to something that my daughter has done. This problem remains after the E10 is shut down. The user manual is not much help in this regard!!!! What do I have to do to ensure tracks are played in order?
What program would you use if you , lets say, wanted to play the files on you PC. Que those files up in order on you cmoputers media player, locate an option to create/save a playlist. Save your playlist and transfer the playlist to you player.
----or-----
main menu, scroll around to settings and select, then scroll down to sounds, then scroll down to play mode, you have the option of OFF, Repeat one, shuffle, repeat, and shuffle + repeat. I leave mine on shuffle + repeat.
Hope this helps

The Sansa won't. You have to exercise a little care when you rip multi-disk audiobooks from CD to your hard drive. The scheme I use is to put a disk number at the beginning of the title (so I don't have to scroll to the end to see it). Then I just listen to the audiobook one disk at a time. I don't mind having to pause once an hour or so to go on to the next disk.
Maybe it is simply that the device is set on shuffle play. That way it will play mixed up. You can however create a folder with your LB series name and place the files in there.
hi katie. before you load your audio books onto you device try renaming each chapter to get them in order. your device should order them like your hard drive will
You need to go into your Play Mode ssettings and select "Repeat All" to turn off this feature:
Play mode
You can set your player to play music tracks randomly (Shuffle All ) or repeatedly (Repeat One or
Repeat All ).
1. From the main menu, select Settings > Play mode.
2. Use the VERTICAL TOUCH STRIP to scroll up or down the options.
3. Press § to select an option.
4. Press § again to deselect an option.
I had this jumbled up problem as it wasn't splitting up the tracks ie I had 6 track ones lined up together which put the chapters out of sync. The trick is to load each CD individually and immediately 'rename' each ie name of book, genre, CD1, CD2 etc. Then you can drag and drop into the MP3 player and they will be in the correct order. Worked for me anyway.
