I'm assuming the mouse tracking and buttons do work. If you have gone to the extreme of reinstalling the OS as well as the mouse drivers I would next suggest you try connecting the mouse to a new PC. If the problem follows you to the new PC you mouse is damaged and there is literally not much the user can do except: -make sure the bottom of the mouse is clean -Try a different mouse surface; some surfaces don?t react well optically. Try calling Logitech, you may still be in warranty and who knows you may get a nice tech who will work with you to replace it. Never hurts to try.

The left click button on my Logitech M555b mouse stopped working earlier today for no apparent reason. It has no physical damage, such as dents, scrapes, or water damage. The mouse is only about 2 months...

I have found that the best way to adjust your mouse settings is to create a control panel in your bottom toolbar scroll to the bottom of your screen right click you will see an array of options select the toolbar option then select desktop

then you will see the desktop in the bottom toolbar select the 2 >>arrow heads then all control panel items then select mouse this is in WINDOWS 7

then click on the >> all control panel items scroll to mouse in the buttons tab you will see the defaults left button right button and middle wheel click you might have to set the left click button again

in XP you will have to select the new toolbar option once you have that a browse option select my computer then control panel then a control panel option will be in the bottom toolbar

.

Or disconnect the mouse from your computer restart.
If still does not work you need a new mouse.

hope this helps

How do you change the batteries in the Logitech MX 1000 laser mouse?

Hello,

Unfortunatly, the rechargeable battery in this mouse in not replaceable. If it not holding a charge, try plugging the cradle in a different plug to verify it is the battery and not the mouse.

Good Luck

Microsoft notebook mouse 5000 Wheel scroll stopped

Fixing the wheel/scroll malfunction was as simple as a reboot. I usually shut down in hibernate. Apparently the system needed a complete reboot to reset.

Scroll wheel not responding. It may be dirty how do I clean or fix it?

Hey,

Check that scroll lock is off
also try reinstalling the logitech software incase some setting is wrong, or you could go over all your settings in the logitech program to see what could be causing it.

Heres the 3200 laser software http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/433/140&cl=us,en

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Ekse

Mx3200 keyboard stoped typing

Unplug the USB (or PS/2) plug for a couple of seconds and reconnect them. That worked for me when this happened on my older Logitech keyboard.
