My Sanyo PLC xu48 keeps turning off after 10 mins and then

Once it cools I can restart it. this is very recent but I did buy an OEM bulb...could it be that it is overheating?? Thanks

Yes, it's probably overheating, or you do not have a signal feeding it.

If overheating, check that the fan is running and any air ports are not blocked.

If it's signal, make sure the device your using to feed it signal is in fact providing a signal, and you have the projector looking to the right input port.

If its aftermarket or non Sanyo lamp, that can be cause of over heating.

Thought the bulb was bad, replaced and still no light.

where did you get the lamp from? if you got it from a reputable dealer, then i'd say the ballast is bad and needs replacing. if you got it from "bob's bulbs", then it may be the lamp. but the only way to test it is to put it in a known good projector.

Lamp goes out after 10-15 seconds

Recently had a similar issue.
When I took the lamp out (Let it cool for awhile first), there was dust all over one side preventing air from the fans from cooling the lamp, so it shut itself off after getting too hot.
