Go into your menu and select options. Then go to direct record and switch it off. Go out of the menu and then use the input select button on your remote to switch it to av.

In some Panasonic models, AV gets auto selected when you insert the RCA plugs into the AV input sockets. Try it.

NV-SJ200 and NV-SJ400 (Z-mech series) with direct record allow AV to be selected via remote 'input select' or sequentially between channels either on main unit or remote CH UP/DOWN buttons. When the backup battery fails in these machines, direct record may be enabled by default. This is easy to correct. Go to menu, select 'option' scroll down to 'direct record' set it to 'off' and if the clock is wrong, set it to the current time. Press OK and you are done!

Panasonic has online manuals- enter your model number- I tried your model number but the search returned no results. Recheck and try here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OperMan/ Most VCRs can select the audio/video input(s) via the remote- sometimes there is a button specifically for this purpose. Or, there may be a selection in the on-screen menu.

VCR Recording OK but cant see tape content

VCR may not be tuned to the right channel. If you are using your VCR for the tuner then your tv is set to channel 3. Check your cabling again as well. From the wall to the VCR. From the VCR to the TV. You also need to make sure that you programmed the VCR for all of the channels. Just like you would for a TV.

I want to replace the tuner to recieve all the channels, is it possible pl suggest

Not really. The best solution is to attach a box (freeview etc) to the scart at the back, set the channel on that and if you want to record just select the AV channel and time etc. PS if it has PDC switch it to off. They don't work anyway with digital services.

My Panasonic NV-HD660 VCR is not unloading/ejecting a video cassette, in fact turns off itself and shows error message HO2, please help!

Yes the most likely cause is the mode switch, you can spray it with Servisol Video 40 or replace it. But you will need the service manual for that. The good news I think your model uses a K-Deck, and there is plenty on-line about the Panasonic K-Deck.

To Connect AV Cable from Panasonic VCR to Sony 29 inches

You can either connect the antenna output of the VCR to TV ant in or hookup the audio/video outputs from VCR to audio/video TV inputs. If using the antenna output you need to sellect channel 3 or 4 to view VCR. If using the adio/video lines you need to select the line input on TV to view VCR.

Panasonic VCR setup

Hi, I've read yr problem with the Panasonic VCR.
It's the TVset you have to switch to channel 36 to get video. When yr watching with a coax. Otherwise you're watching via scart and you just have to switch to AV.
