You can go to the below address to download drivers for your system.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3686671
The driver you want is labeled: "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Update"

You probably haven't loaded the sound driver yet.
To find out goto control panel, then system, then devices
You might see a ? next to one or more devices
If so, the next step will depend on if you have the driver on cd, or you will have to download it.
Write back....
Please rate helpful if it was!

Hi there
Sorry to hear you have a problem. Did you install windows 7 as an upgrade? If so, did you run the upgrade advisor before you upgraded? If you installed it as a new clean Operating System, did you check to see if your HP m1160n has drivers that will work with windows 7?
I just went to the HP website to check for your drivers but it does not recognise the model you state
M1160N.
Go here
http://welcome.hp.com/country/uk/en/support.html
and put in all the numbers of all the stickers on the case or that look like HP. These maybe serial number, part number, model number, spares number until you get a match for M1160N.
Then check to see if your drivers are available for Windows 7. If they are not you will need to install seperate new audio, network and TV tuner cards that er compatible with Windows 7.
All the best, Phil
